Screws and Attachments for Plastic Enclosures
Moulded bosses without threads are provided in most Bopla plastic enclosures. The screws to be used have self-shaping threads and should be slected from the tables below and ordered as an accessory.
In selecting the screws the internal diameters of the bosses and the depth of the hole shown in the drawings should be taken into account.

As the starting torques of these screws in plastic depend in the depth to which they are screwed, the speed, the exactness of ending the torque on the screw etc., no data on torques generally can be given.
Distance bolts
These bolts enable mounting plates to be set high or sandwiched on moulded bosses without threaded sleeves.
The outside threads are laid out for moulded bosses with an internal diameter of 2.4 - 2.6 mm. The inside threads are M 3. In selecting the length of thread, the depth of the moulded bosses and any mounting plate already installed need to be taken into account.

Selecting the threaded sleeve for moulded bosses
Specifically for bosses with an internal diameter of 4 mm and 5.5 mm and a boss depth of 6.5 mm and 9.5 mm threaded sleeves can be added later.

Please note when mounting:
To give the threaded sleeves a firm hold in the boss, proceed as follows: set sleeve in boss down to the floor, and then push down the spread plate with a pin.
Caution!
Inserted threaded sleeves can only be removed again with great difficulty. The recycling of these parts entails considerable costs owing to the Order on Electric Scrap. We cannot therefore take back these parts free of charge unless they are standard.
